Edoardo Benati is a postdoctoral fellow in the ERC Project ‘The Fragments of Aristotle: A Reconstruction of his Lost Works’ at the University of Padua. Prior to this, he studied at the University of Pisa and the Scuola Normale Superiore, where he earned his PhD in Classics in 2022.
Edoardo’s research cuts across textual criticism and ancient philosophy. He is mainly interested in the Early Academy, Aristotle and the pseudoplatonica (especially the Minos and the Horoi). With Phillip Horky, Edoardo is preparing a new edition with commentary of Xenocrates’ and Hermodorus’ fragments and testimonies.
