Matilde Berti is a PhD student in Classics at Durham University. Her research interests include different areas of Ancient Philosophy (e.g., metaphysics, psychology, cosmology, ethics), Ancient Medicine and Ancient Science. Her PhD thesis focusses on the Early Greek framework (e.g., Parmenides, Empedocles) to Plato’s mereology. While working on her BA and MA theses on the Old Academy, she devoted much attention to Aristotle’s metaphysics and physics. She is taking part to the project because a study of Aristotelian language and prose will result in a better understanding of Aristotle’s philosophy.
